The Zune Update FAQ
According to Microsoft, their update of the Zune PC software resolved the following issue “When you try to update Windows Phone 7, the Zune software may stop responding during the backup process.”
Man I wish I had that problem already. Hey, where’s the update that should have been part of the OS that shipped and that was 4 months ago?

How do I know if Zune has updated? I’ve had it opened yesterday and today, and have not seen any update notice.
@Gary: Go into ‘settings’ and under ‘general’ you can force it to check for an update

Yes, it does seem like the update is taking forever but I am sure glad they found this issue before the update is released. MS get’s hated on, every single day and this is just one less thing for them to be hated on. But never fear, I am sure something else will come up for people to complain or hate on.
I would also like to see the update come out; however, it seems that Microsoft is only being prudent by not sending out an update until they are absolutely sure it will not create any negative issues with any of the wp7 phones and will work like it should. I would much rather wait for a safe, effective update than get an early update that creates problems with my phone. Patience is a virtue… 😉
