Trump thinks he can force Apple to build their “damn” computers in the US.

Love him or hate him Donald Trump, which in difference to his poll numbers, the majority of this audience is the later, continues to lay down his shock and awe rhetoric as he campaigns for the Presidency of the United States.  This time at Liberty University in Virginia The “Donald” says that:

“I was saying make America great again, and I actually think we can say now, and I really believe this, we’re gonna get things coming… we’re gonna get Apple to start building their damn computers and things in this country, instead of in other countries.”

There is no holds barred for Trump and to take on Apple, one of this countries most recognized brands and leading liberal big corporation poster child is a pretty smart way for Trump to stir up his base. So how do you do that and get away with it? Well facts and reality certainly have nothing to do with it but what does is bringing jobs back to the United Sates in market where there is already a major shift that took place moving to China. Even customer service and various other call centers are sourced to other global locations to reduce cost which infuriates consumers to have to deal with.

Trump is right on China in some ways. Their ability to manipulate their currency and lack of any environmental responsibility are only some of the ways China has a distinct and unfair advantage in the global marketplace. The idea of continuing to label them as a developing economy is disturbing in many ways. By selling this line of contempt that small business in the United States has for China allows Trump and other politicians to get away with statements as ridicules as the one he made at Liberty University.

So does Tim Cook fire back at Trump? My guess is no. Tim is smart enough to know that is exactly what Trump is hoping for. Perhaps Tim is just waiting like many people are that Trump’s 15 minutes will be up soon.
