AdMob comes to Windows Phone
|Up until now, the only viable way to get ads on your Windows Phone app was through Microsoft’s own ad service. While Microsoft’s offering works just fine, it’s only viable in the US. AdMob will allow ads to be targeted at international audiences. This will be a big plus for anyone wanting to develop an ad supported app for an international user base.
I haven’t tried integrating AdMob into an app yet, but Microsoft Ads allows integration in a simple and easy way. If Google can do the same with AdMob, then Microsoft will have to step up its game if it wants to be the ad supplier of choice on Windows Phone. Anyone give AdMob a try on Windows Phone yet? This may all be overblown: http://twitter.com/#!/ShawnWildermuth/status/47755141528551424
he tried using admob (which you always could do just there was no SDK) and the report- $0. Maybe MS ads are better:) If only they had the ability to travel over the seas…
@Davidk: Microsoft lets you resubmit the app with multiple language settings, so you can use MS ads for your US version and all international versions can utilize AdMob…it’s a little more of a hassle to upload all those files, but not that bad in the grand scheme of things.
