Google Announces Nexus 5: My Initial Thoughts
Moments ago Google announced the Nexus 5. A 5 inch Full HD device that is sure to delight those fortunate enough to get their hands on one. When can you get it? Now. How awesome is that?!

The device is fully unlocked and has band support for all US carriers except Verizon. I love the way that Google continues to showcase their Android platform while updating their device to incorporate the latest in tech. Wireless charging being included is a welcomed addition. I’m buying one soon, are you?

I placed my order at 1am.
With tax and shipping, the 32G cost $435.
But they are not shipping till November 22.
They grey bumper was sold out, or not in stock. And the other colors say “coming soon”
When you say “moments ago” what time was that? I was late getting home. Been refreshing the page for the last 2 weeks waiting for this.
Got a tip from another site last night that suggested Nov 1st for availability.
Today’s E-mail…”Your order has shipped”
That’s good to hear. Quite a few people are getting the “Your order has been delayed..” email. Enjoy it and let me know how the experience is.
The device is nice. Small, thin, light.The back and sides are a soft rubberized type. Feels very good in hand.
The browser is fast on WiFi. Useless on T-Mobile so far. (Just trying out a pay as you go plan for a little while) Have not tried it on ATT yet.
Gonna pick up the 1520 tomorrow, so I will be juggling for the next few weeks.
Turned out the 1520 is not available till Nov. 22. Despite what I was told by a useless CSR.
