Hold Off on Visual Studio 2010 RTM

If you were thinking of getting Visual Studio 2010,  which was just released, and using it for WP7 development you may want to hold off. “We need to highlight that the Windows Phone Developer Tools CTP (WPDT CTP) released last month is not compatible with the retail (RTM) release of Visual Studio 2010.” MS says that they will have an update in a few weeks but at this time you either need to hold off, virtualize VS2010 or use a separate computer. There was a lot of lead up to Visual Studio 2010 and I’m a little surprised this wasn’t worked out, but at least you know so you can work around this.
