Impressions / Review:
The case ships in a cardboard and plastic package with a clear front window to see the case.
The case is black in color what Krusell ‘vintage black’ and it’s fairly plain on the front with cut-outs on the top and bottom for the dual speakers of the HTC One.
The front does have the Krusell logo in the bottom corner and in the below photo you can see it along with a better view of the leather.
On the back you’ll see holes for the camera and microphone along with a space for a credit card or your ID.
Here’s a closer view again showing the leather. I like leather, it looks good and feels good.
The case ships with a styrofoam insert to keep it in shape.
The case is a flip case so you can open it up all the way.
Here’s the inside view for you. The right side where your phone goes has a thin hard frame covered with leather.
The inside is a soft light tan felt that won’t marked the phone or screen.
The is about the same size as the phone.
The HTC One slides in through the top of the case, it slides in fairly easily but yet it take a little force to get it in there. The HTC One will stay in so you won’t have to worry about it coming out. You can’t see them but in the edges of the top of the case are magnets that hold the case securely closed.
The top of the case is wide open to allow access to the power button and audio port.
So when closed you can see the speakers through the cut-outs and of course it allows the audio to come through.
The right side is cut open so you can have access to the volume controls.
The bottom has two small holes for the microUSB port and the microphone.
The left side of the HTC One has the sim card slot and the case is cut open so you can access it.
The back is wide open where the camera and flash are so the case will not interfere with it, and the hole for the microphone is large enough.
Here’s a couple pictures of the inside of the case with the phone in it, the hard edge is slightly over the phone to protect it and hold it in place.
So that’s it, it’s a flip style cover that looks great and protects the phone inside very well.
Conclusion:
The Krusell Kiruna isn’t a case for everybody, it’s a case for those who want to add a little style to their life I think.
It’s not a rugged case like an Otterbox, but it’s not meant to be, but I think it will certainly protect the HTC One inside that’s inside of it thanks to its quality construction and design.
The case is made from supple leather and looks great and it has a nice soft felt lining to protect your phone from scratches. The case holds the phone in place very well so you won’t have to worry about it falling out ever.
At about $30, the case is worth it, you’re getting a quality case that looks great and protects your phone.
Pros:
+Very well made
+Good protection for the phone
+Allows access to all ports and buttons etc
Cons:
-None
