Large Scale Reports of Failures Updating to iOS 5
Uh oh…Twitter seems to be filled with complaints about the update to iOS5 and restoring the backup is failing too. It’s a pretty strange thing to me. I mean, you have a handful of devices which are closed so there shouldn’t be any update failures but that’s not the case.
Were you able to update smoothly? If not, you may want to wait a few days to see how this plays out.

I am waiting for it to finish downloading to itunes for my iPad. Been an hour so far…
I had trouble two times. Third time it went well. First time it didn’t restore the phone either.
Updated my iPad2 and it went pretty smoothly. For some reason iTunes didn’t resync my apps but it seemed kind of minor.
Both my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 went just fine. My apple tvs as well. Will update the iPods and iPhone 3GS tonight.
All of my devices are now updated.

iPhone 4
iPad 2
And my iPhone 4S should be here in a few hours 🙂
