Paramount Releases Benjamin Button For WP7–Or Just Get It From Zune
|Paramount has provided its latest Windows Phone 7 enhanced movie and this time it’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and it’s $10. I’ll give you the description in a second but so you know, this is a phone only version and you can’t transfer it to a PC. It comes with some enhanced features that a lot of people dig but for the same price you can buy it through Zune on your desktop and sync it with your phone in which case you lose the enhanced features but gain a large screen. Yeah I’m with you – one license should work on all of your screens…anyway, here’s the description:
Experience The Curious Case of Benjamin Button like never before with the The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Enhanced Movie App.
“I was born under unusual circumstances.” And so begins “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans, from the end of World War I in 1918 into the 21st century. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett “Benjamin Button,” is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.
Paramount’s Enhanced Movie app makes watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button an engaging and customizable viewing experience. Watch the movie from beginning to end or put the app’s social networking and interactive features to the test as you clip and share scenes from the film, test your movie knowledge with pop-up trivia powered by ‘Scene It?’, or search the film’s extensive database to go behind the scenes for more about the making of the film from actor bios to filming locations. You can easily rewind, fast forward and select your movie viewing language.

-Second Trimester: "Costume Design"

-Third Trimester: "VFX: Youthenization"

question please : do these enhanced wp7 movies have an expiration date?
These seem really cool, but I won’t be buying for two reasons:
1. The prices are too high for something that can only be watched on my phone. It’s not likely that I’m going to make some popcorn and sit down for a couple of hours and watch these movies like I would if they were on my TV. I would probably watch parts of it when I had a little time on my hands or maybe the whole thing on a plane, but the price is too high.
2. We don’t have SPACE to store these movies. I already have to pare down which music I want on my phone because the storage is so small. Paramount really needs to get on Microsoft to “certify” some affordable storage for phones that have the capability of adding storage. They also need to let Microsoft know that future phones should have MORE storage out of the box. This is essential, because right now, putting these movies on my phone is not even an option.
