Police Can Force You To Unlock Your Device With Touch ID but Not Your Password
|Not that anyone I know would really need to do this … I think … but if you’re in a spot with Virginia police, and have an iPhone 5S or above, restart the phone before they ask to see your device – after a restart it always requires a passcode before touch ID can be used.
As to how the judge in VA seems to think it can rule above a SCOTUS ruling requiring a warrant for the information on a mobile device is beyond me, but hey, at least there’s one way to thwart the Virginia thugs…
