Skyfire gets updated for iPhone Twitter and Sharing
|Skyfire just tweeted that there is an update for the iPhone that has improved Twitter and Sharing. Skyfire Version 2.1.0 which has been one of the iPhone’s most popular apps because of it’s server side rendering of Flash video and converting it to Apple Approved HTML5 for your video viewing pleasure.
What’s New in Version 2.1.0
• New: Twitter Quickview allows you to quickly peek into your Twitter stream while browsing
• New: Share to Twitter, GReader, Instapaper, Pinboard, Read It Later, Tumblr
• New: Open in new tab option (touch-&-hold a link)
• Improved Video coverage! Better coverage for sites that require log-in and for sites supporting HTML5. Check out your favorite site in ‘Desktop’ mode.
• Improved: Better cookie support. Thus more videos and sites will work.
• Improved: No retyping necessary when switching between mobile and desktop mode
• Improved: Bookmarking functions, including editing, renaming, etc.

So… I come home from work one day to find my incredibly hot, horny and flexible supermodel /slash/ Nobel-prize-winning girlfriend just up and moved out on me. No “let’s talk about this”, no phone call, not even a note. Just *pft!* gone.
I wonder about it for a while and finally get on with my life. Then I come here to read she’s dating some hipster douchebag named “iphone” and likes having unprotected sex with some “android” on the side.
Reeling I finally get the courage to call her and all she says is,
“You’re not popular enough be with me anymore.”
Well SkyFire, you teasing bitch, don’t expect me to open my door (OR winodows) for you when you come calling on THAT phone.
Ahhh, but she’ll have plenty of handsets to nestle down into even if _I_ don’t take her in.
Bitch.
Hey Skyau, wrong thread but I still think you should win the Zibra. Well said.
After this update, even when I choose to load the site as desktop, it still loads the mobile version of the site 🙁
previous version were working fine
@Jimski;
Thanks. What’s a “Zibra?” :/
If you want skyfire on your winmo device, you can still get it. Load one of the android builds onto your sd card, then download skyfire. It works pretty well. I think Android is available for most htc devices (probably many others as well). As always, winmo for the win!
@Skyau. Check the Mobility Digest giveaway on the front page.
@Skyau: That is an awesome comment!
@ PejmanK: Working great for me.
@Doug Smith
It works good for most of the sites for me as well. the only problem is I viewed a site with older version and it showed it as desktop version which is free.
with this version even when I choose desktop, it loads the mobile version which I need to pay to use it 🙁
