Swype Beta for Android – We Rejoice!

I was a huge slide out keyboard fan and would have never thought of going to a large screen, non  slide out keyboard until I happened upon Swype on my TP2. I found that I used my physical keyboard less and less and loved the speed of Swype. We knew that the Motorola Droid X was going to have the Swype goodness preloaded in it and now Swype is putting it out to all Android users in Beta.

Here are the details:

• It will be open for a limited time – probably a few days
• In English, Spanish, and Italian – more languages to come
• Limited Features – some key features of Swype require OEM integration
• HVGA and WVGA Resolutions – don’t worry we’ll detect this automatically
• Limited End User Support – mostly via our forum
• If your phone came pre-installed with Swype
  DO NOT download this beta (it won’t work)
