Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 with iOS 5.0.1

We have been hearing that an untethered jailbreak was looking on the horizon for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 running on iOS 5.0.1 and now we finally have it. Absinthe Jailbreak software has just been released! Multiple efforts where put forth from the Chronic Development Team as well as Pod2g and the iPhone Dev Team. Here is what the jailbreak can be used for:

• iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0, 5.0.1 (9A405 and 9A406)

iPad 2 Wifi/GSM/CDMA running iOS 5.0.1

The Absinthe Jailbreak will be a one click unlock solution but keep in mind, this is brand new and there could be some bugs. The untethered Jailbreak is only available right now for Mac users, and a Windows and Linux version should be released soon. There is no step by step instructions so unless you are VERY experienced at this sort of thing, I highly recommend you wait until more people have tested it and a full set of instructions come out and what to do if something botches up.
