“Hardware limitation” – this has been a favourite reason/excuse since a very long time for not providing firmware upgrades to Android devices by the manufacturers. Until recently, Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 too wasn’t going to get firmware upgrade beyond Android 2.1 (not officially, atleast.) And now when it’s official that Xperia X10 is indeed going to get an Android Gingerbread upgrade, XDA member Chumby_666 has managed to port the Android Honeycomb SDK to it.
Although, GSM, touchscreen, phone keys, phone charging and few more stuffs work, don’t even think of opting this ROM for daily usage. Xperia X10 is definitely not the first device to taste a few drops of Honeycomb, the ROM is in pre-alpha stage.
