Today at Nokia’s Mobile World Congress press conference Terry Myerson, windows phone chief, announced that the beta for Skype for Windows Phone is now available in the marketplace and encouraged everyone to go and get it.  For the past couple months windows phone enthusiasts were questioning what the delay was for releasing Skype and now we know.  Microsoft is clearly aligning their announcements and giving preferential treatment to Nokia. Nokia, for its part, is doing a bang up job of getting people excited about Windows Phone and growing the global reach.  Microsoft is definitely giving added value to the partnership by closely aligning key announcements with Nokia’s timeline.
