Is this the direction of the Nokia Lumia 900 Ads?

By now we’re on pins and needles anticipating the launch and impact of the Nokia Lumia 900, the company’s flagship Windows Phone. We all know Nokia rocks when it comes to marketing but so far neither Microsoft or their OEM partners have been able to deploy a successful advertising tactic in the US. If I was a betting man I’d wager that Nokia has the chops and relationship with AT&T to get the job done. The questions remain “Where is Operation Rolling Thunder?” and “Just what will it look like?”

For me I’m hoping that the official Nokia Lumia 800 TV Advert for the UK sheds some light. 4G LTE isn’t present so I expect to see at least a tweak to include that in the Lumia 900 version of the advert.

There is something simple and effective about the phrase “beautifully different” and the advert gets it point across with well timed focus on the animated live tiles, quick & simple description of the benefits of the phone (alive with your friends, apps so you can save money, time and the universe). Then showcasing the different color options without any distracting actors and scenes like the Droid Razr commercials do. It’s a winner so I hope to see this advert regionalized for the US market.
