Every so often you come across a blog or a forum post that is titled: If you had to build a Windows mobile Device, how would you build it. Or something to that effect. Like many of you, I don’t waste mush time writing anything down, but like all of you, it does make you think what if. So what if! If you had to build your dream device, would it consist of the following?:

  • Windows Mobile 6.5 Device
  • Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon CPU
  • 4.1" WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen display
  • 512 MB ROM and 256 MB RAM
  • Quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA
  • WiFi B/G &, Bluetooth 2.0
  • GPS
Well wake up because you’re not dreaming! It’s the Toshiba TG01 1GHz Windows Mobile Device! Announced at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona back in February, the TG01 looks to have all the power the most serious mobility junkie could want! Check this video out by CNET.UK:

Even though I would be shocked that the TG01 would not come with WinMo 6.5, it does appear it was sporting 6.1 at the MWC. Little else is known about Toshiba new Mobile Device like, release date, camera, and cost. Like the Sony Xperia, I doubt that the TG01 would get much carrier attention here in the US, but we can always hope! Stay tuned for more information!
