About That Major WP Facebook App Overhaul–Does It Live Up To The Hype?
The blogosphere was ablaze today, even before the Facebook refresh was live in Marketplace. So I was fired up to try it out and…uhm what’s the hype all about? Here’s the official change log:
• News feed performance improvements
• New panorama design.
• New profile design.
• Banner Images.
• Improved navigation.
• View “likes”.
• Feed filters.
• Posting privacy.
• Bug fixing
Now I’m not a huge Facebooker but when I fired this thing up I wasn’t overwhelmed and there’s still no live tile. It looks good and overall seems to perform well but the reviews seem to rate this as a 1 or a 5 depending on the person. Anyone big in FB and want to lay it all out for us? As far as I’m concerned, I want MS to fix up the FB integration into the OS and let me move on so I don’t have to bother with an app that’s duplicative of the phones built-in capabilities.
I totally agree with you, Microsoft should focus on better button of Facebook with OS.
I looked qt it very briefly, and wasn’t impressed. I suppose I ought to give it a real try, but I was underwhelmed.
It is a great improvement, though the tile notification doesn’t seem to work. I like it because it lets me run two F’book accounts from one phone.
