AT&T out of stock of black Lumia 920–only white left
I think it’s safe to acknowledge that the Lumia 920 exceeded AT&T’s and Nokia’s expectations. Seeing that it was low on stock initially was easy to dismiss as that’s the new status symbol of strong sales. But now, it’s clear that there’s a simple imbalance of demand exceeding supply. In fact, the only color available now is white, as the matte black has moved to out of stock online as well. They don’t even let you pre-order it.
Now I can’t even settle on a black Lumia…I’m stuck waiting for stock to be replenished as there’s almost no availability in stores and none online and I’m not into a piano white phone personally.
And so, like the past…I wait

Hey David, you know where they’re not out of stock? Ebay, where even though these retail off-contract for much more they are selling for less than the Nexus 4.
But yeah, I’m sure both the expectations and supply were super high to make this bit worth cranking out, these people will eat up anything. Waiting for a comment from Jim pointing out that this must mean Microsoft will sell X million of these by Christmas, based on your research and screen capture to prove it.
The real story here is why the white’s still available, but whatever …
What version of Ebay are you looking at? Nexus 4 is $450 on Ebay. Lumia is $550. That’s best price for Buy It Now. Of course, since the Lumia’s are still available in stores in some combination there can’t be too much premium since you can hunt one down for $450 so any premium shows there’s excess demand.
The premise of the article is a simple fact that there’s excess demand over supply for the 920. Has nothing to do with the Nexus 4…but you can pretend it does if that gets you off.

And the premise of my comment is that is a pointless observation and a misleading article to a highly suggestible audience you’ve built. And that you could have made it more interesting with some racial overtones.
Also, I deny being either an asshole or a waste of time. I am a good guy in general, a terrific, classy guy so back off with your negativity.
