Celebrate 40 years of Monty Python (nudge, nudge) with Kinoma Play
|40 years ago today, Monty Python’s Flying Circus was first broadcast on the BBC. For four seasons and 45 episodes, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Graham Chapman created some of the smartest/dumbest humor of their time.
(Of course, we all know it ended tragically on an ill-advised Amazon river cruise in early 1975, when the Amazonian llama population was at a peak. John Cleese’s heroic warning — “Look out, there are llamas!” — didn’t come soon enough to allow the troupe to escape with their lives, and possibly go on and do movies or something.)
On the bright side, you can enjoy a great selection of high-quality Monty Python videos (delivered straight from the Monty Python vault) with Kinoma Play right now!
In Kinoma Guide > Entertainment & Comedy > Monty Python you’ll find:
- Monty Python Clips – Selections of favorite clips (including Argument Clinic, Ministry of Silly Walks, and Always Look On The Bright Side of Life”)
- Monty Python Talks About… — Various members talk about stuff
- Popular Requests –Sketches and scenes most requested by fans (including The Parrot Sketch and The Knights Who Say “Ni!”)
- The Secret Policeman’s Balls — Highlights from the Amnesty International benefit concerts
In return for all of this free wonderfulness, the Monty Python estate has asked that you please buy Monty Python stuff in order to support the troupe’s illegitimate children and children’s children, now numbering in the thousands.
