Facebook Releases Messenger App for Windows

Facebook now has an official Messenger application for PCs available. For those asking, it does have more functionality than using Live Messenger tied to your FB account since it has stronger notification tie-ins With that said, a Windows Phone seems to have the same functionality .

Millions of people log into Facebook every day to keep up with friends. They also browse other websites and run computer programs, so it’s easy to miss important stuff. Maybe a cousin just posted about getting a new job, or a best friend wants to chat about dinner plans for tonight.

I’m not a big FB fan but if you’re into it give it a go. And yes, it’s funny that phones have stronger tie-ins than PCs but I guess that’s why iPads are gaining so much strength and MS is looking to W8 to turn things around.
