Google wants Chrome OS on Windows 8; Microsoft wants WP on Android
|You guys saw this all, right? They’re not two independent stories- they’re part of the same story line. Google wants to get the advantage of all of the hardware out there with a touchscreen already running Windows 8 and put their Chrome OS on it as a way to lure people onto their platform. Makes sense as Windows 8 outsells Chrome OS by some infinite number. The flip side is that there are now rumors that Microsoft is trying to get Android OEMs to dual boot to Windows Phone. Yeah, same concept except Google leads in the hardware race in the mobile world.
So yeah, same strategy, at the same time. We’ve come full circle.
Where you at Apple? Still in lockdown, huh? OK but it’s no fun that way…

Can’t they all just get along?
I have Chrome on my Windows 8 laptop.
Can I get Internet Explorer on my Android? Everybody wins!
Please
What’s the big deal. I for one am now more likely, in light of this, to light up Windows 8, and to recommend it.
OK, can I install Chrome on A WP8 Device?
Not that that would solve my WP8 functionality problem.
