Iris Browser Is Done – Torch Mobile Sold to RIM

If you go to the website now the download links for Iris have been removed. So if you want to get some Webkit love you need to start looking for Dorothy to come through. I liked Iris (good use of the past tense, right?). And if you have it you should be able to keep using it, just don’t expect any future developments to occur for WinMo.

Iris is my default browser… Man.. this sucks…
It still can be. As far as I know there’s no time bomb in the app. It won’t get updates but truthfully I’ve always liked it for what it was. Having full support would have been nice though…
It’s demise did lead me to try the old NetFront browser yesterday though…I needed one more browser to fill the void left by Iris:)
