J.D. Power Picks Verizon as The Deep South’s Highest Network Quality Ranking
|Seems like poor old AT&T can never get a break! I always knew that the fastest way to get a New York Area resident stirred up is to ask him about how his AT&T Network Coverage was, but I always thought that AT&T had the South US locked up. It looks like times, they are a changin’ for AT&T as J.D. Power and Associates for 2012 gave Verizon the nod for the South’s best Network Quality.
The Southeast Region consists of the Gulf Coast states of Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Florida.
The J.D. Power and Associates study measured network quality among all U.S. wireless service providers based on factors that impact overall carrier performance. Approximately 27,000 wireless subscribers were surveyed by J.D. Power and Associates between January and June 2012 about their experiences with wireless voice, text messaging and data usage. Based on their responses, Verizon Wireless performed significantly above the industry average in all six regions and ranked highest among national wireless companies in five regions, including the Southeast Region.
hmmm. I’ve had no problems with Big Blue, but I might actually have to look into Verizon. I think I’ve got friends in the area on their network: I’ll have to ask them their experiences.
