Puerto Rican Student Brings WebP to Windows RT 8.1
|Harold Martinez, a young man who attends the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamon and is versed in C#, Java and C to name a few, declared victory in bringing WebP, the most powerful image format in the world (the development of which is lead by Google), to Windows RT 8.1.
Feeling on a roll, he immediately set his sights on bringing WebP to Windows Phone 8.1 too but has been struggling. As Microsoft apparently needs help from hobbyists to implement freely-available, matured and superior technology into their products, it appears to be on Harold to deliver. He may be your only hope.
Perhaps you know your way around Windows Phone development and could give him a hand? I imagine he’d be receptive to your tips. Here’s the thread. Rock on, Harold.
