T-Mobile Announces the HTC Sensation
|Believe it or not there is other news to write about other than Mango Madness coming to Windows Phone. And that would be another Android Hot Rod coming down the pipes outfitted in some 4G purple regalia. Even though Android with all it’s sales volumes, still strikes a nerve around these parts, you can’t deny the supercharged horsepower these devices have. But maybe the Android UI is not your cup of tea what then? I’ll tell you and it’s a proven winner. HTC Sense my friends. T-Mobile has stepped up their Android game with their announcement of the HTC Sensation loaded with HTC Sense Goodness.
This version of Sense even comes with a few new tricks, check it out:
- A customizable active lockscreen experience that transforms the lockscreen into a real-time window to the most important information and content. Social updates, photos, weather or stock updates can be viewed by simply waking up the display.
- Sharper graphics, vibrant animations and new widgets make HTC Sense look better than ever.
- A more cinematic and immersive weather experience with stunning imagery and audible weather effects.
Pretty sweet huh? I mentioned Horsepower? Yeah, it’s packing a 1.2Ghz Snapdragon 2 processor, 4.3” qHD touch screen (540×960 pixels my peeps), and an 8 megapixel camera. (yeah this is an HTC device not Motorola).
T-Mobile is saying the Sensation is due out sometime this summer but we have a “…a very reliable source that the new Sim Free HTC Sensation is going to be released on June 10th”
Not really a whole lot new going on with the form factor, typical HTC Android thing happening here, but it is still a great looking device.
Check out the video that for some very appalling reason does not contain one single frame of Carly Foulkes and has very little about the device. (A pet peeve of mine that OEM’s seem to like these days)
Press release after the Video. Enjoy people!
