T-Mobile Responds to G2 Update Rumor
|Looks like T-Mobile took issue and responded to rumors that made reference to a possible update for the G2 that would bring Wi-Fi calling and Wi-Fi tethering/sharing to the popular handset tomorrow.
T-Mobile posted, “WiFi Calling and tethering/WiFi sharing are not currently supported on the T-Mobile G2. T-mobile knows these features are important to consumers and we’re working to deliver them to G2 users in the future. We have nothing further to announce at this time “.
Currently only Sprint and Verizon allow what’s known as “hotspot sharing” on select Android devices. Guess that settles that. Keep your fingers crossed G2 owners and try not to be bitter if the future takes a while to arrive.
