So, will retailers continue to shun Windows tablets when they reach a $79.99 price point? Four Sunday circulars and not a single Windows tablet listed.


  1. There’s no reference to the MS Windows tablet. I guess you assume that your entire audience has already seen it?

  2. No, that’s the point. I check all the retailer circulars every week, and there is almost never a reference to a 10″ and below Windows tablets. Occasionally, the Dell 8″. Or the Toshiba once. Or the Asus 10″ 2 & 1. But that’s about it.

    I guess retailers only list items that are big sellers. But if they’re big sellers, do they really need to list them. How did these tablets become big sellers? Word of mouth?

    The sub $100 Windows tablets are still 2-3 weeks away. It will be interesting to see how the market responds to them.
