Would Kindle Fire HD really fire Android Tablets this time?
|Amazon announced the price cut on Kindle Fire HD, http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=176060&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1795817&highlight=, now would it really kill majority of Android tablets like Jason Perlow on ZDNet thinks http://www.zdnet.com/why-amazon-kindle-fire-hd-will-burn-googles-android-tablet-strategy-7000012566/? What do you think?

A 10% price reduction will not move any additional units. Now say if i could get a.Nexus 7 for $150 then we’d be talking.
Thats what I think. I thought when Kindle released its original Fire two years back, I thought it would put a dent to Android tablets, http://mobilitydigest.com/amazon-kindle-fire-whom-did-it-fire/, but that was only a blip during holiday period. And don’t think it would, but whoever is locked into Amazon ecosystem might find it as a way to move away from their older Kindle ereaders, other than that I don’t think so. But like you said if they sell it for less than $200, we are talking.
