I love getting emails like this: “To celebrate the arrival of Windows Phone 7 [WP7] in the U.S., Microsoft and AT&T are giving thousands of music fans in NY and San Francisco the chance to see chart-topping artists perform live. We want to invite you to join us at the Katy Perry concert on Monday, Nov. 8, 7pm at The Roseland Ballroom (239 W 52nd, NYC).”

So if you’re in NYC and want to see Katy Perry tonight and celebrate the Windows Phone launch just leave a comment here. We have four seats in total and we’re giving them away in two sets of two seats. Since the doors open at 7 we’ll cut this off at 5pm. We’ll pick the winners randomnly.

Doors open at 7pm ; concert begins at 8pm

Good luck

  1. Just downloaded the California Gurls video (in 1080p of course). Wow, glad to see that the music industry is abundantly aware that sex sells. Lick my popsicle? Dancing with cherry topped cupcakes for a bikini top? ‘Atta girl, Katy Perry. Like a slightly watered down, auto-tuned and younger Rose McGowan who sings.

  2. I understand that this Katie Perry girl brought to you all by Microsoft didn’t even use a Windows Phone phone as a prop (let alone actually use one instead of an iphone) and while she knew Microsoft had something to do with the money behind the concert she was otherwise oblivious, according to a trusted source, to this Windows Phone thing on all the concert-goers’ badges that in order to go to the concert they had to pick up at an AT&T dealership in the day interested in only the ticket not the phone.

For AT&T in NYC this was the Katy Perry launch to call it a spade, one to obfuscate the apparent success of the launch.

Microsoft did not supply booze, something that bothered Katie.

Do I have that right pretty much?

She also sang that kissing girls song.
