Roger Peters (of smartypantscoding) submitted his game Matchingo to the Marketplace for approval and just 18 hours later it was approved. That’s pretty impressive for Microsoft whose Windows Mobile 6.5 Marketplace got hammered by developers who complained about time delays as well as a lack of information about the submission process. Of course, submissions are not open to everyone yet so MS is likely ensuring that they can turn around submissions in a timeframe like this, but it’s encouraging nonetheless.
If you want to see what the steps are to submit an app into the WP7 Marketplace, Peter Henry took screenshots of the entire process which you can check out. and he came across pleased by the ease of submission overall (despite a few nuances). Alright devs, keeping doing your thing and congrats to Roger on the approval.
