No Microsoft Phone Says Senior Marketing Manager
|Last week we were treated to the Microsoft Tablet called the Surface. A Microsoft branded tablet that will come in two flavors, a Windows 8 Pro version and a Windows RT that will only utilize apps through the Marketplace. So for all those who were hoping that Microsoft would eventually announce they are making their own phones too, don’t hold your breath just yet. Microsoft is still planning on using their partners, Nokia, HTC, Samsung and Huawei to build the hardware and sell phones with their operating system on it. This coming from Information Week who got Microsoft Senior Marketing Manager Greg Sullivan on the record.
“No, we do not,” Sullivan said. “We have a strong ecosystem of partners that we are very satisfied with.”
So put those hopes aside and wait for the release of the Windows phone 8 devices this fall.

Didn’t Microsoft deny rumours about them releasing a Windows tablet, saying that they had hardware partners that they were happy with, or something very similar??
I’m pretty certain that in the very near future Microsoft will go the Apple route and release their own hardware.
