We’re just about a wee away from the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and while there’s still a long way to go in the rebuilding of the towers, the 9/11 Memorial have been completed and it will be dedicated on 9/11/11. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum has released a Windows Phone 7 application with the following features:
Explore the arrangement of names on the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center. Listen to remembrances of those who were lost, spoken by family and friends. Locate sponsored cobblestones on the Memorial plaza. This is an official app of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
As a New Yorker I’m fortunate enough to be able to view the Memorial in person but this seems like a phenomenal way to interact with the Memorial out of state.
It is free.
