Paul Thurrott: WP7 US Launch is November 8
|Paul Thurrott is an insider when it comes to Windows Phone 7. He’s not an employee of MS but was granted early access to WP7 information and is writing a book about WP7. So when he says he has a reliable source, that has a lot of credence to it. And here’s what he has to say:
I mentioned on this week’s Windows Weekly podcast that the October 11 date people have been tossing around for the Windows Phone launch was incorrect. (Microsoft is holding an annual event in NYC on that day, but it’s unrelated to Windows Phone.) While I don’t know anything about a European launch, I’ve been told by a very reliable source that the US launch date for Windows Phone is November 8.
Too speculative to get a countdown clock going?

@BennyJ: Because everyone is stating that Europe is Oct 22;) If the rumors are true then US does not get it first.
! well if this is true then i better start preparing my wallet for some damage
They are sure cutting it close. Hope MS plans on buying lots of air time before Black Friday. And they need to get print ads in your face on billboards, buses and subways virtually overnight. A big task indeed.
Why not a worldwide launch? WTF.
I have been browsing oninle more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
