Mobile Application Provides Interactive Navigation, Live Streaming
Event Information, and Complete Tourist Guide

London, UK – (November 11, 2009) – SatSports Ltd., global leaders in mobile navigation for outdoor athletes, and in partnership with HTC and Tourism Vancouver, proudly announces the world’s first ever complete interactive tourist and sporting event mobile application. By providing live updated information, streaming of information, and street navigation for the world tourists descending on Vancouver next year, Tourism Vancouver, SatSports and HTC have created a revolutionary application that will change the way Visitors experience the City and events. With SMS capabilities, this innovative application also allows Tourism Vancouver to interact with visitors anywhere in the city no matter what their activity.
With the Integrated Tourism & Events Mobile App being launched 2009/ 2010 users will receive live updates via SMS from Tourism Vancouver, notifying them of events time changes, points of interest, competition updates, weather reports and news flashes. “We are excited to partner with HTC and SatSports on such a groundbreaking mobile application,” said Walt Judas of Tourism Vancouver. “With live messaging and constant updates, it’s virtually a tour guide in your pocket assisting you every step of your trip.”
As the launch of the application gets closer, new features and compatibility will be announced, including a unique method for tourists to document their Vancouver experience. The application will also provide transport planner and emergency service contacts, along with visitor centre locations for further information.

SatSports Integrated Tourism & Events Mobile App 2009/2010 features include:

• Mapping and navigation to all points of local interest, stations, hotels, restaurants, and Tourism   Vancouver listings

• SMS enabled, receive Tourism Vancouver updates on P01, weather reports, and event information.
• Live streaming of news and event results, and announcements
• Includes all satellite visitor centre locations and navigation information
• All Sports and other major events
• Includes Ski/Snowboard Winter Sports application as part of standard download through March 31, 2010

• The application will also have available for the first three months of 2010, a free version of the Award wining interactive Satski GPS skiing and boarding application for skiers in Whistler.

Tourism Vancouver event staff will be provided HTC mobile devices in January. “This App is going to change the way host cities interact with visitors and event spectators, and HTC is excited to have our hardware showcased,” says Francois Gravel of HTC. HTC devices, along with this integrated Mobile App, will streamline Tourism Vancouver’s interaction with tourists by assisting them in giving directions and providing event information from satellite visitor centres.
