Noah Kravitz Ditches iPhone For Windows Phone
|Noah Kravitz has a long history in the tech blogosphere with a 15 year history at PhoneDog, Maximum PC, interviews on TV, etc. And now he’s switched teams. He states he’s a Microsoft hater generally. And there’s some great commentary in there:
I never would have thought I’d say it, but it’s true: Microsoft has made Apple’s design sense seem tacky. Metro is modern and stylish where iOS suddenly seems played-out and at times disjointed.
Whichever side of the Fanboy Wars you’re on, it’s hard to deny that the latest incarnations Android and iOS share more than a passing resemblance. You’ve got grids, you’ve got folders, you’ve got trays, and you’ve got notification pull-downs no matter which camp you’re in.
Most everything in Windows Phone is big, bold and easy to see; after using Titan for a week I went back to my iPhone 4 and wondered what the hell was up with the weird banners, fonts and textures in Game Center.
Don’t go nuts though. he admits that it’s still new and fresh for him and it’s not the end of all phones. Still, it’s a great endorsement and a worthy read. Check it out in full here.
Every positive review helps. And every helping review is positive. Ya’ll sending anyone to CES? You need to take him up on his comment and ask him what he’s carrying at that point.
I’m still not sure if I’m going again just yet…
At last year’s CES, MS had a great WP7 setup.
All the REST of CES was iPhone and iPad accessories..
take that for what it’s worth ….
