May 11th, 2013 — 7:02pm

Today I have what turned out to be a rather large review of a case for a phone. When you think of cases for phones, you think of simple things and usually reviews for them are small. Somehow this review got really big with forty plus pictures in it, I’m not sure what happened but I guess I just had a lot to show you about this case. I think everyone by now knows that if you want one of the best cases for you phone then you buy an Otterbox case and that’s what I have for review today, the Defender Series for the new HTC One Android phone. Mobility Digest Review: Translucent Protective Crystal Case for Nintendo 3DS

April 28th, 2013 — 11:10am

The Nintendo 3DS is one of the best portable gaming consoles out today, and it seems to be getting better and better as time goes by. Spending a couple hundred dollars on a tiny gaming console can sting a bit and it will really sting if you drop it so a case is a must, at least I think so anyway. Mostly all of my devices have skins and cases on them, at the very least I have a case on all of my gadgets. I needed a new case for my 3DS and I wanted to see what Deal Extreme had to offer as they have great prices and most of the stuff I’ve gotten from them is surprisingly good even though it’s priced very low. The case I got isn’t some brand name, it’s just called the Translucent Protective Crystal Case and it costs under $4 and they even offer free shipping so in the end it’s very inexpensive. So read on for a quick review of an inexpensive yet decent case for your 3DS…

Mobility Digest Review: HC C840 Genuine HTC One Double Dip Hard Shell Case

April 24th, 2013 — 11:29am

I got a new phone! I got a new phone!! Yep I got the HTC One last week and I’m absolutely loving it, even though I really haven’t played with it all that much… Seriously though it’s a great phone so far, call quality is excellent, and it’s seriously fast and the screen is just gorgeous. I still find it amazing that the HTC One with a 4.7” screen is running the same resolution as my 47” HDTV, but oh well, it’s a beautiful screen plain and simple. One of the first things I do when I get a new phone is get a case and a screen protector, in fact I ordered one of each a week before I knew the phone was arriving! So the case I got was from Amazon, but I got an official HTC case from our friends at Mobile Fun for review which is much better than the cheap one from Amazon. The case I have for review today is the HTC HC C840, or the Double Dip Hard Shell case and it’s a great case overall, well made and it offer a lot of protection for the phone. So read on to learn more….

Logitech release MS Surface like keyboards for iPad

April 23rd, 2013 — 12:55pm

Photo_logitechfolio_carbonblk

Logitech follows Microsoft’s lead with their new FabrickSkin keyboard Folio line. This should be considered a compliment to Microsoft and their Surface design teams, as I consider Logitech to be the best peripheral manufacture around. Featuring some water repellant coating, a magnet “snap” stance and a great key layout, this is sure to be a treat for iPad owners.

However, although the best keyboard option I’ve seen for the iPad so far, I can’t help but point out the lack of trackpad. I know, it has nothing to do with Logitec and more so Apple, but yea, the use of a cursor in conjunction with the keyboard makes the Surface’s keyboards top of their class.

Logitech worked with world-class designers to identify chic fabrics and a bold color palette and combined them with a clean design. As a result, both the Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio and Logitech Folio are offered in a range of colors from Electric Blue and Sunflower Yellow to Mars Red Orange, and in an array of on-trend fabrics from matte leather to finely woven cotton.

“By developing color and material options that evoke our senses and speak to our individuality, Logitech has made owning an iPad unique again,” said Beatrice Santiccioli, world-renowned color expert and designer. “I brought my knowledge in color and design to Logitech to help inspire the selection of materials and develop a color palette that builds a strong emotional connection to people’s lifestyles.”

The Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio features the first Bluetooth® keyboard with its keys seamlessly fused into an interior fabric. Its full-size keys give you the tactile feedback you’re used to in a traditional keyboard, but in a sleek new look. The keyboard folio’s high-end fabrics are treated with a coating that is liquid repellent to help keep your folio looking new for longer. Hidden magnets hold your iPad in two convenient positions, snapping your tablet securely into typing mode and ensuring the folio stays shut when you’re moving around.

Designed for the iPad or iPad mini, the Logitech Folio features the same sophisticated style and premium materials on the inside and outside to safeguard your tablet while you’re on the go. Magnetic closures minimize the risk of damage to your tablet and its screen while in transit. For an extra measure of convenience, its four-way flip stand allows you to view your tablet from the stand without having to hold it.

Pricing and Availability

The Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio for iPad is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe in May 2013, for a suggested retail price of $149.99 in the U.S. The Logitech Folio for iPad and iPad mini are expected to be available in the U.S. in May 2013, for a suggested retail price of $69.99 and $59.99. Mobility Digest Review: iGadgitz 8.9” Hard Cover Notebook / Tablet Case

April 12th, 2013 — 8:53am

Have you ever really looked into buying a case for your tablet or netbook or even notebook? There is just a plethora of them out there, yes I used plethora, and that’s the best word to describe it really. I like the word, it’s one that’s not used much anymore I think, but it really applies when it comes to the choice of cases out there today. Anyway, if you couldn’t have guessed, I have another case for review today. With the popularity of tablets on the rise, netbook and notebook cases are now being used for tablets, when you look at a site you’ll find the same cases listed in both sections. This is a good thing I guess as it gives you more choices, then again it can make life more difficult as you’ve now got so many to pick from. So the case I have for review today is the 8.9” iGadgitz Hard Cover Notebook Case and it kind of reminds me of a mini brief case. The case is a hard shell style, but it has a cloth material covering it and some padding in there too of course for protection. The case has velcro straps to hold your tablet or notebook in place and there’s even a mesh pocket to hold any accessories or other stuffs you might want to bring along with you. So without further chitchat from me, read on for the review…

Mobility Digest Review: E-volve Tuff-Shell 10" Tablet or Netbook Case

March 30th, 2013 — 12:27pm

These days it seems netbook cases do double duty as tablet cases as well. When you’re searching for a tablet case you’ll notice netbook cases come up in your results, and that’s not a bad thing as it offers more choices. Well at least I think more choices is a good thing! Today for review I have a hard case that can be used with a tablet or netbook up to ten inches in size, it’s the E-Volve Tuff-Shell case and it sorts of just like it sounds, a hard shell case. Sleeves for tablets are nice, but I like having a hard shell biter as it offers a lot more protection that just a sleeve will. This particular case is fairly plain looking, basic black really, so you could use it for most any occasion, business or pleasure. The case has dual zippers for easy access and the outside of the case is pretty much spill-proof so it will protect from accidents and of course the weather. The case is good enough to be used on its own, or you can safely toss it into another bag and not worry about damaging the contents.

Mobility Digest Review: Rivacase 8112 10.2" Tablet Bag

March 4th, 2013 — 5:02pm

Way back in November I reviewed the Rivacase Tablet bag and I liked it a lot, but I’ve recently gotten another tablet bag for review and I like it better and it’s from Rivacase as well! Today for review I have the Rivacase 8112 which is also a tablet bag for tablets up to 10.2” in size. This bag is much nicer than the one I reviewed previously, but the other one still is nice, I just like the functionality of this new one much better. The 8112 not only features a nice roomy and padded section for your tablet, but it has front and back pockets along with a few smaller pockets as well for things like pencils or whatever. The other bag was nice but this one has become my new favorite for sure. Read to to check it out..

Acase Unveils the Weave Leather Sleeve for iPhone 5

January 30th, 2013 — 12:27pm

This is kind of cool, it’s a leather case or actually a sleeve and it has a strap that you pull to make your iPhone 5 come out of the sleeve easier.  I’ve always found sleeve type cases to be protective but you’ve got to kind of turn it upside down and shake it to get your phone out which can be annoying and not exactly safe. Acase came up with a solution, just pull the tab and the phone just slides right out of the case.

134975809697134975809630

Acase, designer and manufacturer of accessories for mobile devices, announces the availability of Weave, a stylish genuine leather sleeve with easy pull-out system for iPhone 5.
The Acase Weave is iPhone 5’s elegant leather glove, safeguarding it from scratches, dirt and bumps.   Ultra slim and highly protective, the Weave possesses a soft inner lining that cradles the iPhone 5 and an elastic strap system that propels the smartphone with a simple pull.
“The iPhone 5 has transformed into a fashion statement, but few cases reflect its elegance and subtle aesthetics,” said Tom Hsieh, sales and marketing manager of Acase.  “The Weave embraces the unequivocal feel of genuine leather, allowing users showcase the iPhone 5 while shielding it from everyday dangers.”
Manufactured using premium leather and hand-stitched to ensure ultimate sophistication, the Weave is now available in black, brown and dark brown for $24.95at Amazon.com and at www.apluscase.com.tw/.
